Digital Certificate Signing

There are many cases where you may want to sign an application or component so that users can verify who published it and that it is safe.

A certificate is a set of data that identifies an entity. A trusted organization assigns a certificate to asoftware. The trusted organization that issues the certificate is a Certification Authority (CA) and is known as the certificate's issuer. A trustworthy CA will only issue a certificate after verifying the safety of the software.

We can help you with the the process of obtaining a Digital Certificate from a CA and signing a completed toolbar/deskbar/commbar package with the certificate. This will let you distribute your toolbar among users with Windows XP SP2 installed or corporate users with Microsoft Internet Security system enabled. Signing the package requires two steps:
